About World Snacks

World Snacks is a smol snack review site made by Melanie Richards. I made this partially to play around with headless CMSes, and partially so that I could remember what I thought of fun treats from outside the U.S.

Some of the reviews are for snacks I’m trying out in real-time, while others are what I remember from previous travels or purchases closer to home. Some countries (ahem, Japan) tend to be over-represented, often because of what’s most available to me. I am excited to try out snacks from around the world, so if there’s something I’m missing out on, please send me a suggestion!

A few notes on the criteria I’m using before I review a snack:

• It must originate from outside the United States, though I might consider trying regional-U.S. snacks.

• It must come pre-packaged: no lovingly hand crafted goodies here, though I love them!

• The food item must be primarily eaten as or with a snack, as opposed to a meal.
